MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Conduct high-level administrative investigations relating to alleged violations of Dallas ISD policies and procedures, including but not limited to, employee standards of conduct, employee misconduct, abuse, and harassment
•Gather, analyze, and process information relating to administrative investigations
•Investigate leads, obtain facts, and gather evidence to establish the extent of alleged violations
•Interview alleged victims, complainants, and witnesses and prepare a detailed report of investigation
•Testify at employee hearings, legal reviews, grand juries and at trial as required
•Conduct follow-up investigations as required
•Exchange information with other Dallas ISD personnel and other law enforcement agencies as appropriate
•Maintain appropriate liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, courts, the Texas Education Agency, and other school districts
•Partner with the Dallas ISD Police Department to monitor criminal cases related to incidents involving Dallas ISD employees
•Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned
All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises none.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this job:
•Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited college or university required
•One to three years of non-criminal investigative experience preferred
•Demonstrated knowledge of the techniques, methods, and procedures used to gather information and evidence and conduct HR investigations
•Demonstrated ability to prepare high-level written reports and communications
•Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations firmly, courteously, tactfully, and impartially
•Demonstrated ability to secure the cooperation of others in difficult situations
•Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, and policies
•Knowledge of Texas Criminal Code of Procedure and Texas Penal Code preferred
•Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Professional
•Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
