Since 1981 the Hispanic Communicators DFW (HCDFW) has mentored and launched the careers of Latino journalists in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. In our forty year history we have awarded more than $400,000 to Dallas/Fort Worth students.
We offer our membership professional development training, networking with peers across medias, and the opportunity to give back, by volunteering for our scholarship or other committees.

HCDFW is an inclusive organization. Our members are not only professional mainstream news journalists. They are also the decision makers, such as, the news directors, producers, editors. They are professionals in the fields of print, broadcast, and social media. They are Spanish language journalists, as well as public relations and marketing specialists. Our membership also includes journalism educators and students.
Additionally, we welcome individual and corporate allies who are not professional journalists, but support the mission of HCDFW.
In 2008 HCDFW became the North Texas Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ). Dallas/Fort Worth members of NAHJ are also members of HCDFW.

In honor of our 40th Anniversary you can support HDCFW by donating $40, $400, or $4,000! Your 40th Anniversary gift can be a recurring or one-time gift. All 40th Anniversary donors will be listed on our 40th Anniversary page.
Recurring Donations
A recurring gift, monthly or quarterly, at any giving level, means that HCDFW can count on that ongoing support as they plan for the future.
Matching Gifts
A matching gift makes your gift go further. Ask your employer’s HR department about matching gifts opportunities.
Honor and/or Memorial Gifts
A gift in honor or in memory of a family member, friend or colleague is a special gift for HCDFW. We deeply appreciate your consideration of HCDFW to receive a donation in honor or in memory of your special person.
