Network of Hispanic Communicators outraged over radio host's remarks (1987)

In July 1987 KLIF talk show host David Gold made an outrageous remark about the deaths of 18 undocumented immigrants inside a boxcar. The network was outraged as were others in the Hispanic community.

The Network of Hispanic Communicators took immediate action and wrote a letter to station management demanding an apology. Read the letter and the Dallas Times Herald article about the incident.

Next week, we’ll show you what happened as a result of the Network’s involvement.
