We want to thank everyone who attended our two May events!
We co-hosted our first mixer of the year with the Online News Association’s Dallas chapter at Mutts Cantina in Dallas on May 9 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Approximately 50 communicators from the Dallas-Fort Worth area attended our mixer.
We also had our first training session, Social Media Tools: How Journalists Can Connect Through Facebook, Twitter & Instagram on May 19 at The Dallas Morning News. We had approximately 20 HCDFW members attend this session. We also had six members join our Dallas chapter!
Thank you again to our speakers: Holley Ford (NBCDFW) who guided us through Facebook, Jose Rodriguez (SportsDay DFW) who taught us cool new ways to use Twitter’s advance search and Lorena Flores (Al Día Dallas) who guided us through the do’s and don’t on Instagram.
