The Hispanic Communicators DFW are honored to award five students with scholarships for the 2018-19 school year
Our scholarship luncheon will be on Dec. 8, 2018 at noon at Meso Maya, 1611 McKinney Ave, Dallas.
We will be honoring two Latino journalists with our scholarships this year: the late Mercedes Olivera and Bert Lozano. We will also be joined by our keynote speaker, Francisco Vara-Orta, national reporter and data specialist for Chalkbeat. He is also the vice president for the Education Writers Association.
